GlossaryCompetitor monitoring
Definition
Competitor monitoring
The practice of tracking specific signals from competitors: website changes, pricing updates, job postings, product launches, and social or press mentions.
Monitoring detects. Interpretation explains. A notification that a competitor added a new pricing tier is only useful if paired with analysis of what the change means for your deals and what to do next.
Most monitoring-only tools stop at detection, which is why they fail to convert noise into decisions.
